The pioneers of the inflatable boats, Zodiac Nautic, have just introduced a new rib named Zodiac Open 5.5, which aims at relaunching the renown brand.
The occasion for the launch of the new Zodiac Open 5.5 was a meeting organizeed by the brand in Crouesty, France. Not just a simple weekend of product presentation, but a whole four days of initiatives. Among them, a series of free courses offering driving lessons, a fishing workshop, maintenance tips, an introduction to to SUP on Zodiac-Anonym stand-up-paddleboards, and an outing to Houat island. But the star of the weekend was the Open 5.5, a versatile rigid-hulled inflatable which succeeds the legendary Pro Open 550, sold worldwide in thousands of units.
Whatever you want it to
As a little sister of the Open 7, this new rib has a bold design, both sporty and seaworthy. The yard defines it like a SUV of the sea, because of its versatility: the 5.5 is adaptable to hobbies such as family cruising, fishing trips, diving with friends, towed water sports. The new rigid-hulled inflatable is 5,40m long and 2,5m wide. It can accommodate up to 12 passengers, which is a lot for such size and a known advantage of ribs on traditional boats.
Zodiac Open 5.5 can be equipped with an outboard engine with a maximum power of 130 HP. Its main highlights are its exceptional modularity which allows multiple activities, optimised storage space, a modern and bold design, and a new V-shaped hull for the best comfort and safety while cruising.
Zodiac Nautic Group is one of the world leaders in the manufacture and distribution of inflatable and semi-rigid pleasure craft, tenders and life rafts.
