For their 50 years Azimut Yachts will celebrate in Dubai, New York, Cannes, Hong Kong and at their Italian headquarters in Avigliana. Azimut 76 Fly, Verve 47 and Atlantis 45 are the new models.
50 years Azimut Yachts, five events
The start is in Dubai where Bulgari Hotel Marina and Yacht Club hosts 250 guests by the end of February. Two days with visits on board the latest models and an exclusive night event. Then the show will move to New York in May, for an event related to design and innovation that, in Azimut Yachts worlds should “leave the mark”.
Cannes Boat Show is the September event for another celebration of the 50 years benchmark, with focus on the new models. To follow, Hong Kong will host the fourth international happening in November.
And last but not least the 50 years Azimut Yachts celebration will move to Avigliana, near Turin, where the closest friends, long-time customers and the business community which took part in the success of the Company will be the lucky guests.
50 years Azimut Yachts, three novelties
Azimut 76 Fly is an important project, a merge of sophisticated design and large interior spaces. It’s the first boat of the Fly Collection, it’s pushed by three Volvo IPS, and it features a layout typical of larger vessels. For instance, much attention has been devoted to the privacy of life on board, placing the crew quarters to bow with access from the wheelhouse and galley. Both these spaces can be completely separated from the living / dining area.
The interiors are designed by Achille Salvagni and the first version to be presented, called “Lounge”, is characterized by the lack of the traditional separation between dining and living areas. This means more versatility and freedom of use, also thanks to the dining table that turns into a coffee table if necessary. The external lines have been entrusted to Alberto Mancini, at his first flybridge yacht for the shipyard: the sinuous shapes are interpreted in a new way and give a new boost to this kind of nautical design. Azimut 76 Fly fits fully into the generation of Azimut Yachts carbon-tech boats.
Atlantis 45 is the heir to Atlantis 43, a successful model with over 140 units delivered in four years. It features Volvo IPS propulsion, and develops the stylistic features introduced by the larger sibling Atlantis 51. The (partially) vertical bow gives the right dynamism to a boat with a strong sporting vocation, further emphasized by the continuous glazing surrounding the hull sides.
To aft, the garage can house a tender up to 2.5 meters, and the layout features two cabins: the owner’s room and a second one amidships, with two berths that can be joined if necessary to become a double, and an optional third one. All the rooms are large and welcoming also thanks to a 4.25-meter width.
Verve 47 has been specifically designed for the American market, as the emblem of the Italian Weekender: a fast and performing yacht, still enjoyable for longer cruises thanks to the second cabin. While maintaining a family feeling with the smaller Verve 40, according to the shipyard the creative development phase has been approached like the boat “were a blade”. In fact, Verve 47 sports unusual shapes: the bow reinterprets the geometry of offshore racing boats, while maintaining the Azimut Yachts family feeling, while the hull windows raise and merge with the gunwale. The stepped hull, by the renowned designer Michael Peters, ensures excellent performance, also because Verve 47’s transom can house up to four outboard motors for a maximum speed of 45 knots.
So, get ready to celebrate, because after 50 years Azimut Yachts is alive and kicking more than ever!
