The Okeans land in Europe. The instigator is Vanguard Yachts

Straight from Brasil, the Okeans bring versatility and comfort in a contemporary style. Now, thanks to the French dealer Vanguard Yachts they are reaching the Old Continent.

The next Cannes Yachting Festival will mark the European debut of the dynamic brand Okean,.based in the Brasilian region of Sao Paulo. They have an interesting range of yachts from 50 to 80 feet, with contemporary styling and many aces up their sleeve. All the models feature a vertical stem and straight lines, with square and edgy windows and a mix of dynamism and solidity through the stylistic language.

Let’s see the models that will be introduced in the next Fall at Cannes: Okean 50 is available in two versions, fly or explorer, and both have touched the water already so we know some info. Then Okean 55 Open, an existing model as well, with its sleeker and bold look. The last two models, the larger Okean 68 and Okean 80, at the moment are only renderings: we’ll see it they will make it to Cannes.

Okean 55

The combination of elegant and sporty aesthetics comes as a result of many aspects. The Okean 55 Open was developed by the renowned Italian designer Paolo Ferragni, with an eye on performance.

One of the main highlights is the layout that interconnects the internal and external parts of the vessel: the back half of both sides tilts down, as already seen on some competitors, forming a huge deck over the sea.

Okean 68

At the moment nothing has been released about Okean 68 except a couple of renderings. The brand identity is safe though, as made clear by the square lines and the opening sides. We are eager to see her, and all the models above, at the next Cannes Yachting Festival, as much as we want to thoroughly analyze them and finally get to know the indicative price, in order to understand if these Okeans can really be a strong player in the European yachting business. The date is saved for September 10 to 15 on the beautiful Croisette.
