Prestige 420S: the luxury cruiser can even be small and sporty

It debuted along with the flybridge sibling. The new Prestige 420S has all the features of a big yacht in a small size. And the sportiness of a low superstructure.

We spoke some weeks ago about the new Prestige 420. We explained how taking the Prestige’s features to a small size is a way to pursue the so-called brand extension. Well, what about this Pretige 420S? It’s exactly the same thing. But in this case the brand experience is not taken into an even smaller size, but into another segment. In this case, it’s a coupe with hard top.

Sporty elegance

The sporty look of Prestige 420S mainains the family feeling of the range, which counts other open models in larger size. The new boat offers a mature layout and the latest innovations by the brand. The large opening sunroof and aft sliding glass door create a modular living space, enhancing the feeling of open-air navigation when everything is open.

As for the rest of the boat, the main deck layout is the same of Prestige 420, both outside and inside, as is the lower deck. So, we prefer to report what we have written about the flybridge version, in order to be as consistent as possible…

The Prestige 420 takes the brand experience to 12 meters

Spacious and bright, Prestige 420(S) reflects the values of the brand in bold yet familiar lines by Garroni Design.

This model boasts a V-Drive propulsion system that optimizes the weight balance and the onboard space. In the engine bay there’s two Cummins engines delivering 380 or 425 hp each. They can be matched with joystick and variable bowthruster to ensure easy handling and precise control when maneuvering.

In order to grant the usual Prestige experience, the model offers a large forward sundeck, a hydraulic platform, and an L-shaped cockpit seating with a table in the aft cockpit.

Where a larger yacht would have a crew cabin, which is redundant here, Prestige 420(S) sports a huge lazarette with much stowage space, directly accessible from both the swim platform and the cockpit.

Inside, the new Prestige 420(S) features high-end finishes and materials. The galley opens onto the cockpit, while the U-shaped couch in the saloon, which transforms into a double berth, faces a further sofa.

Belowdecks there’s space for two cabins, both featuring windows in the hull for a bright atmosphere. The Prestige 420(S) room is located aft and features a central double berth and a private bathroom in a warm ambiance. The guest cabin also features a large central double berth, but we are sure it will be possible to opt for a twin-berth solution.

What is sure is that Prestige 420(S) can be configured to include a second bathroom for the VIP cabin or a large walk-in closet, with hanging space, shelving and even a washing machine.
