Born in 2005 from Gulf Craft, the largest shipbuilder in the Middle East, the brand Oryx debuts in Europe with a brand new model named Oryx 379.
We’ve got to know Gulf Craft, the largest producer of yachts and superyachts in the Middle East and a constantly expanding company. So much so, that it is one of the seven largest shipyards in the world. The UAE group is now aiming to expand the Oryx brand, created in 2005, into Europe. Now, the new Oryx 379 debuts at the Genoa Boat Show: a 39-foot sports cruiser designed by Hussein Alshaali, it’s aimed at both families and groups of friends looking for comfort and performance.

The Genoa Show, from 19 to 24 September, has therefore been the stage for the launch of the new model. Designed by Hussein Alshaali, at his first collaboration with the brand, Oryx 379 is characterized by an almost vertical bow, and contemporary, tense yet elegant lines. We have seeen it with our very eyes (soon our sea trial report), and it definitely seems that the levels of design and finishes are pretty high, as is necessary for a successful debut on mature markets like the European ones.
As for the description of exteriors and interiors, we will not use many words as there’s two videos that explain better than anything. We just underline that, on a 12-meter center console, there is still space for a cabin and a convertible dinette, good for hosting up to four people overnight.
The Oryx 379 on display in Genoa was equipped with three 300 hp outboards, for a maximum speed of 48 knots, but the model will also be available with inboard propulsion.
Next year a new 50-foot boat, already in the pipeline, will be launched: the debut will happen at 2020 Cannes Yachting Festival.
