At the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show Ferretti Group is taking 16 boats and two premieres for the American market: Ferretti Yachts 720 and 48 Wallytender.
The 2019 edition of FLIBS (October 30 to November 3), in one of the world capitals of yachting, will be number 60. To celebrate the event, Ferretti Group pay their personal tribute to the Show having on display a fleet of 16 boats including open, coupe, flybridge and maxi-yachts. Two of them debut in USA for the very first time: the 22-metre Ferretti Yachts 720, and the 48 Wallytender.
This is the full list of models (well, the other 14): Ferretti Yachts 550, 670, and 780, Riva Aquariva, Rivamare, 56′ Rivale, 76′ Bahamas, 76′ Perseo, and 90′ Argo, Pershing 5X, 9X, 62 and 70. Not bad indeed.
During the Ferretti Group press conference, the Group will announce some of the new yachts that will debut next year, in addition to the positive results achieved in 2019 (despite the suspended IPO), along with details of the organization of subsidiaries in the United States.
Given the strong bond between the Group and FCA (and Ferrari), Maserati will be the automotive partner. Other top partners include Pommery for the champagne, La Scolca for the wines, FIJI Water for the…drinking water. More interesting for the sector, Seabob will be exhibiting their limited edition water toys, with customized livery specifically created for the Group’s brands. Slam will be the official supplier of the uniforms of the Ferretti Group crew.
Some words about the two American debuts
Ferretti Yachts 720 is the second project with exterior design by architect Filippo Salvetti in collaboration with Ferretti Group. The interior design, on the other hand, was created by the Group’s own architects and designers. An aerodynamic design features sporty lines that have become a signature of the Ferretti Yachts fleet. A 30m² flybridge, in carbon fiber and composite materials, is surmounted by a hard top. The aft swimming platform with convertible chaise longues and storage can house a tender up to 3.95 meters.
Inside Ferretti Yachts 720 continues the approach of giving home-like comfort: a large open space is organized into a living area, a raised dining area, and the helm station integrated with the Naviop-Simrad LOOP systems and the electro-hydraulic steering system developed in partnership with XENTA. On lower deck there’s four cabins with a 20 sqm master suite, two double rooms with separate beds and one VIP cabin.
Ferretti Yachts 720: when the comfort comes from a long time tradition
The 48 Wallytender offers wide spaces on deck and generous interior volumes. But this would count almost zero if it were not for the technical solutions and the stylistic features. So, the unmistakable look with bold and straight lines is completed by the trade mark fender strake all around, while the aft side sections of the boat that can be folded down on both sides (standard). In addition, a retractable gangway, turns into a ladder for access to the sea.
Inside, 48 Wallytender offers a complete suite with good headroom: the challenge was to offer enough volume without compromising the outdoor look, typically characterized by the low freeboard. Standard motorization is on two Volvo IPS 650 – 960 hp total, for a maximum speed of 38 knots.

During Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, a “one thousand and one nights” dance of yachts and superyachts will be staged, with over 110,000 visitors expected to attend and admire the works of 1,200 different exhibitors.
