The Italian group launches a completely new project, with a distinguished approach. The name, Vis, means force in Latin.
At the 2019 Monaco Yacht Show Fincantieri Yachts, the Fincantieri Group business unit devoted specifically to megayachts, introduced Vis. Three letters, a full meaning. In Latin vis means power, strength, force, vigor, or whatever synonym you want to use. It also recalls the Latin language used for the mottoes of the ships that the Group builds for the Italian Navy.
Just look at her
Vis is a combination of advanced technology, established heritage and sophisticated architectural solutions, such as folding-out terraces, wide panoramic social areas and solar panels. The concept was developed by Fincantieri Yachts in partnership with the Italian designer Francesco Paszkowski‘s studio.
Since 2005, when the company came to the business, Fincantieri has delivered 134m “Serene” (2011) and 140m “Ocean Victory” (2014). The shipyard has channeled significant resources in this market niche, starting from the creation of Fincantieri Yachts, the Group’s dedicated business unit.
Counting on Fincantieri’s 230-years experience in shipbuilding, the Yachts branch can provide high levels of design, style, reliability and quality in building >70m vessels.
The 81m Vis is definitely a superyacht on her own, with military-like styling but clean, sober yet luxurious interiors. Take a look at some of the renderingsand judge for yourselves.
