Scanner Envy 1100 FB: the new outboard version matches comfort to high performance

A Scanner Marine rib can comply to many needs, aesthetical and of powertrain. Even more so, with the new Envy 1100: after the sterndrive version, it is now time of outboard motors, in particular two 350 hp Suzukis with Dual Props.

Let’s spoil it immediately with the main number: with these engines Scanner Envy 1100 FB reaches 47 knots (and cruises at 30, but that’s too boring to talk about). if 47 is not bad at all for an 11-meter rib, it can do more: like, mount three 250 motors and go north of 50!

How cool is that T-top

Such performance goes along with refined aesthetics, as customary for the builder. Beside the Custom Edition models, every Scanner model features a look on its own, refined details, and a design that in some aspects gets closer to yachts rather than ribs. Design which is always by Montemitro Design.

Thanks to the new kind of propulsion, Scanner Envy 1100 FB can sport a rather large sun bed in the cockpit, with headrest section, some protection in navigation (still leaving a clear view on the horizon) and a teak step for an easy access to the aft platform.

The swim platform itself is the only element which loses something, as it’s split in two parts. It’s a small price to pay when on the other hand you have performance, speed and handling like only outboard engines can give.

The central area and the forward cockpit are connected by two side walkways with safe bulwarks and feature an elegant teak decking and pulpit.

The cockpit is really enjoyable for everyone, as guests have a good space to move around, can use a C-shaped sofa, a kitchenette with bar and grill, and a sofa along the entire V of the bow. The driver, on the other hand, will enjoy a well designed dashboard which is also high-tech.

In our opinion the coolest feature is the T-Top though. It’s mounted on a light-looking, chromed steel structure that seems to be inspired by contemporary art; which makes it look like it’s floating.

And if so far the Scanner Envy 1100 FB seems just a day cruiser, there’s a cosy and well finished living area below-deck, which includes a double bunk, a small heads, a sink and many lockers with doors and frames in light wood.
