The young and promising architect Marino Alfani has conceived a very sporty yacht, available in the three versions Fly, Hardtop and Open.
Nowadays the Italian shipyard is working on both ends of their range: on one side the boats for the domestic market, under 10 meters but with large inner space; on the other the big and luxurious cruisers for international customers, waiting for the times when the latter models will find their harbor also in Italy.
So, despite the downturn of the last years, when it’s time to make a leap you have to go for it: it’s not just courage, it’s a weighted risk and it’s necessary to pursue evolution. Rio Yachts made their first leap from 46 to 54, and they were right: the Colorado 54 has even originated the semi-custom version Granturismo 56.
Talking of customization, here we have the new Rio Yachts Gran Coupe 64 : the choice is not just for the materials, but also the kind of boat and the inner layout. First choice then is between a totally open deck, a hardtop one and a flybridge (and we appreciate the Yard’s choice to use the proper word, without going for weird expressions as the term “flybridge” is considered little sporty). Second choice then is for the indoor layout: two or three cabins, and two different solutions for the space amidships.
Finally, the engines can be chosen among three possibilities: two Volvo Penta D13 900 apiece, two Caterpillar C18 Acert 1150, or two Man V8 1200.
With the smallest engines the Gran Coupé 64 Open costs 1.500.000 euro. Add another 50 grands for the hardtop, or 100 for the flybridge. Some of the options available are the docking joystick and the metallic paint, not just for the hull but also for deck and superstructure.
According to rumors, the first unit in build will be a flybridge version.
