The new Beneteau Gran Turismo 35 targets the American market, as a response to the offer from local boatyards that “patrol” the segment of day cruisers, and as the perfect product for boaters from USA and Canada
Much likely also customers from the Med will have the chance to get this new day cruiser, but for its extension the American market is the first in the world, and the presence of countless lakes and rivers foster demand for day cruisers and attracts shipyards from allover the globe.
Beneteau has then decided to ride the wave and to market into USA and Canada this new Gran Turismo 35, a full open as opposed to the hard top GT 34 it replaces (still available in Europe). Readers will remember several open boats in the Montecarlo range, launched in 2008 by Beneteau and then replaced by Gran Turismo. So, in a way this is a comeback for the French yard.
Beside the superstructure, there’s very little differences between GT 34 and GT 35. The layout differs only in the back cockpit, where Med boaters want a solarium while Americans prefer a dinette. If you want to take your sun bath, though, there’s still a chaise longue to port and the usual sun pad on the foredeck.
Belowdecks, the setup remains the same: V-shaped dinette abow which turns into double bed, galley, separate heads, and a second double berth amidships, underneath the cockpit.
