Bavaria chosen Boot Düsseldorf to introduce their first Catamaran- At the moment she has a sail mast and her her name is Nautitech Open 40, but rendedrings have been released of a power version. Will her name be Bavaria Open 40?
The sailing catamaran come from the cooperation with French boatyard Nautitech, and for this reason her construction site is the French Atlantic coast. But the press release we got from Bavaria during the conference shown some renderings of a only-motor version. We guess the name could be Bavaria Open 40 and i twill be a motoryacht made to match the increasing demand for catamarans as berths are more and more available across the Med. Once the mooring limit is solved, boaters can appreciate the advantages of a multi-hull boat in terms of space, comfort and efficiency.
We still don’t have many infos about Bavaria Open 40 motoryacht, so we rely on renderings and the spec sheet of the sail sibling. Length overall is 11.98 meters (39 ft 4 in) for a beam of 6.91 mt (22 ft 8 in). Both will feature a large main deck above the tunnel, with ample windows to fill the interior with light. It seems that the fore sun pad, consisting of the typical net on the sail version, will be confirmed on the power one as well. According to the first drawings the greenhouse boasts a solarium on the top, but the shipyard executives told us that they’re developing a flybridge as well. In case it would work just as a hard top, we would like to see larger manholes, as the two visible in the rendering are rather small.
Bavaria Open40 should feature three or four cabins, for 6 to 8 berths, and two heads as on the sailing model Nautitech. Which, for the German market, has been priced at 328.444 € (19% VAT included) for the 4room layout and 333.081 € for the 3room.
