Six meters of American spirit, the Sea Ray 19 SPX wants to conquer the Med. Starting with the choice of inboard and outboard propulsion, and the customization of the layout.
The Sea Ray 19 SPX plays the ace up her sleeve with the choice among many customization packages, to adjust her to owners’ needs. Straight away though, comes the big issue: on our sea the bowrider layout has never encountered success. True, nevertheless this is quite unexplainable. The perfect example of open boat, a bowrider should have her natural habitat in our warm climate, be it the Med or one of the thousand lakes across Europe.
So, Brunswick Group decided to insist on the formula, and this Sea Ray 19 SPX has everything to convince. Both the outboard and the inboard versions share the same cockpit, with the former featuring a split platform on the sides of the engine, while the latter has a large, full beam one. In the first case though, the aft sun bed hides a large locker which hosts the engine in the second.
The cockpit is accessible from a passageway to port, and boasts a front-facing couch and a secondo ne on the side. The helm station with pilot’s seat are to starboard.
The windshield is split in three parts, as common with this layout, with the mid one that opens into the bow dinette that can be used at anchor and in navigation.
The hull is surely perfect for long and fast navigation, but can face also some waves thanks to a sharp hull with 19° deadrise.
The hull is surely perfect for long and fast navigation, but can face also some waves thanks to a sharp hull with 19° deadrise. And the American construction is surely a reassurance.
