On Lake Maggiore, Piccaluga boatyard serves the boaters since 1964

Over 50 years in the business (51, and counting), the enterprise started by Carlo Piccaluga on Lake Maggiore is now run by his two sons on a multi-purpose area of 110,000 square meters.

Back in yesteryears, when most of the boatyards were mainly restoring and refitting wooden crafts, Piccaluga yard were already building their own boats in wood. For instance, around 60 units of the “Dollis” model were crafted and sold.

Production couldn’t be the only activity in an area where boating was becoming a serious matter. So Carlo Piccaluga moved from the first site to the shore of Lake Maggiore, in Sesto Calende, initially for wintering service, the differentiating more and more in order to offer boaters everything they would need, and let them enjoy just the pleasure of cruising.

Now the yard counts on a facility of 110,000 square meters, with dock and hangars, and can provide customers with daily hauls and launches for boats up to 15 meters, besides providing a 25 tons crane.
