Sanlorenzo celebrates 10 years of success with a meeting and a news

Sanlorenzo Elite Days is an exclusive weekend that the boatyard  organizes every year for their customers all over the world. The 2015 edition has been the occasion to celebrate two facts: 10 years from the acquisition by the actual owners, and a deal with the renown American designer Chris Bangle.

300 guests from the corners of the world, 15 boats available for visits and sea trials, classic car racing in partnerships with the luxury watch maker IWC, champagne tasting by Laurent Perrier, test drives of the new electric scooters BMW Motorrad: this has been Sanlorenzo Elite Days 2015 in a nutshell. The main points, though, were the first ten years of Perotti ownership, and the partnership with Bangle for future models.

Sanlorenzo boatyard was founded in 1958 in Viareggio by Giovanni Jannetti, then in 2005 the entrepreneur Massimo Perotti acquired them. During his first years, Perotti has opened a new production site in Viareggio and a new division for superyachts built in metal. Since 2005 the Company has grown worldwide, still keeping their traditional focus on full customization of their yachts, to satisfy the needs of each different owner.

Here’s just two numbers of the Perotti ownership: the revenue has increased from 57 to 208 million Euros, and the number of workers, direct and indirect, from 350 to 930 people.

In the last decade Sanlorenzo launched 11 new models. Like the composite-built, semi-displacing range  SD 92, SD 112 and SD 126. Or the renewed fiberglass, planing motoryachts SL 76 (new for 2016), SL 86 (new this year), SL 96, SL 106 (winner of the 2011 Italian Innovation Award from ADI, Italian Designers Association), and SL 118.
More, Sanlorenzo has entered the superyacht segment in 2007 with the 40 Alloy (40 meters, 9 units sold), capable of 27 knots and featuring innovative opening terraces like we’ve later seen from many shipyards.

They launched the first Sanlorenzo steel vessel, the 46 steel (46 meters, 8 units sold) soon to be followed by the 52 steel of which the first unit is already under construction.

Finally, they built their first explorer with 460 Exp, a 42 meters that will be in water in July and will be on display as a world preview at Monaco Yacht Show 2015.
