Rancraft RM 18: wide open

Rancraft Engineering launches the restyling for Rancraft RM 1: a benchmark for the yard and for many boaters  looking for a comfortable and low-maintenance unit.

In this new version, the Rancraft RM 18 represents even more the starting point for a first-time boater looking for comfort and performance, with an eye on maintenance costs. In a small size (5.28 meters overall) RM 18 can meet the needs of a family of four, and still it’s certified for seven. The restyling implied a different layout, including the tanning areas and the storage room, in order to maximize the versatility and comfort when spending a day at sea.

The center console protects pilot and co-pilot and features enough space for compass, engine instruments and electronics such as chart-plotter and echo sounder (for sport fishers). The throttle lever is ergonomic both when standing and when seating, and the back of the seat can be moved so it can be used even when at anchor.

Guests can count on a well-protected solarium to bow, the free board is tall and protects from sprays while the cushions are modular so access to lockers beneath is easy. The guard rail runs all around the boat and gives and extra level of safety. The back bench completes a layout that, when judged from the inside, seems actually larger than on same-size boats. Every cushion is finished with two-tone fabric, as customary on the Rancraft Millenium series. The general level of care for detail is very high.

The hull features the patented IHC (Innovating Hull Concept), that grants high level of performance thanks to the redan that transversally crosses the hull, side to side. And the advantages are actually tangible: RM 18 gets to plane in a few seconds and uses very little fuel in every condition, considering it can mount outboard engines delivering 40 to 135 HP.

A very good match is to be found in the package offered by Rancraft: the RM 18 is coupled with the Mercury F40 EFI ELPT at a price of € 15.800.
The boat without engine costs € 13.400.
Both prices are intended excluding VAT and transportation, and are indicative for Italy.
