A new 15 meters from Azimut fills the gap between the 48 and 54 in the range: it’s the new 50, and marks the introduction of a renewed family feeling that will give further prestige to the flybridge models from Azimut Yachts.
Given this task, the exterior and interior designers, Stefano Righini and Carlo Galeazzi, have created this new model who is inspired by the solutions introduced by Azimut 80, one of the most recent models from the shipyard.
Style-wise, the strongest reference to the large sister is in the side windows, united in a single shape extended to the stern to give a better view from the living. A soft-top retractable roof is optional and opens on the flydeck. Beside the refined décor, what impresses inside is the use of space, allowing a top-in-class 17,50 square meter cockpit and a third cabin with bunk beds below. The two main cabins offer double beds, the master being amid and the VIP to the fore. The galley is hosted on the lower deck as well.
A spacious fly bridge features a sunbed abow, right by the pilot station, followed towards the stern by the main C-shaped dinette and the kitchen closet. The back part of the deck can host two benches / chaise longue on both sides, or replace one of them with a larger, L-shaped couch.
Two Volvo Penta D11 with shafts are fitted in the engine room: according to Azimut they can take the 50 up to 30 knots, with a cruising speed of 26.
Azimut 50 is due for launch in June, then it will be introduced to public as a world premiere during the Cannes and Genoa boat shows, in September and October respectively.
