Eight sales in United States out of a total of 18 in 2015, and the first Mediterraneo 116’ delivered in 2016 to an American customer: it’s the first year of Benetti Americas.
There’s no better way to state your world leadership, than announcing important sales results. This is exactly what Benetti has done during the 2015 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2015, just ended in Florida: 2015 has been a positive year, with a consolidation on the American market that can count eight sales out of 18. In particular, North American customers have signed four contracts for the Fast Displacement range, the best-seller on this market, while a 66-meter steel and aluminum Custom unit will be a challenge for the Italian shipyard, that once again will have the chance to show their competences and experience. Last but not least, another important contract comes from this year in America: the first 35,50 mt Benetti Mediterraneo 116’ will be delivered to a local customer in 2016.
Benetti in the Americas
The success of Veloce 140’ from the Fast Displacement line marks the appreciation towards this model by customers from Northern, Center and Southern America. The strongest point it’s her Italian design, while the D2P hull and the carbon fiber for the superstructure make her a highly technological ship. A range up to 1250 nautical miles and a speed of 12 knots mean she’s particularly fit to pleasure navigation in the Continent, while the reduced draft is ideal for the shallow waters you can find in Florida, Bahamas and Caribe.
As for South America, the market proves to be receptive and sparkling. Beside Countries such as Mexico and Brasil, already into the luxury yacht market since a long time and thus more demanding on functionality, reliability and after-sale services, there’s now nations like Colombia, Peru and Chile which are showing interest for Benetti brand and the quality of their product.
Florida plays a key role in developing this demand, and that’s why the opening in 2014 of Benetti Americas in Fort Lauderdale can be considered a strategic move. Today the team consists of five people, two dedicated to service, two to after sales and one to marketing.
Benetti enforces their strategy, aimed to consolidating their market presence, by attending local boat shows in a strong and assertive way. After taking part to Panama Boat Show, one of the newest world-boating stages, with Classic 121’ M/Y Nomadess, Benetti has stated their presence at Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show with Veloce 140’ Cheers 46 and Benetti Delfino 93’ Ocean Drive, a blend of tradition and innovation.
In 2016, Miami Yacht&Brokerage Show will see a double American debut, with Vivace 125’ – the “entry level” in the Fast Displacement line, and Crystal 140’, boat inspired by the typical Mediterranean spirit of enjoying the sea and the outdoor living.
