Among the line-up of models above 40 feet on display at Yachts Miami Beach Show, there was an open one making her world debut. It’s the Sea Ray 450 Sundancer
Almost 14 meters and a sleek line, with a streamlined windshield and a forward-leaning hull: the advantage for Sundancer 450 is not just in the look, but also in the aerodynamics. The exterior color can be chosen among a possible for. The design keeps a balance between outdoor and indoor spaces, with refined details and a warm atmosphere thanks to the joinery, itself available in two shades of wood.
The new Sea Ray 450 Sundancer features two proper living areas: one in the cockpit, sheltered by the opening hard top, and one belowdecks, for the best relax and quietness.
The cockpit itself sports a huge dinette to port, while on the other side the kitchenette has the same L shape with a handy work surface. Beside the helm station, with a settee for two, there’s a second couch, while the transom part features the typical solarium and the tender garage underneath.
Belowdecks, the salon is organized with a dinette to port side and the linear galley to starboard, but it’s not as simple as it sounds: just take a look at the wide companionway, or the couch, or the poufs…the 50” TV screen completes a great social area, hidden from the dock traffic or the bad weather. The name of this configuration, therefore, couldn’t be but “Social Hub”. The alternative is to go for a second guest cabin with en-suite. Still in the first case, though, the sofa can turn into a double berth for the night.
As for the master room, it features a large double bed and bathroom with a separate space just for the shower.
Propulsion-wise, the standard choice is for two Mercruiser delivering 380 HP each, with Bravo transmissions. Axius or even Zeus systems are optional.
