The new Pershing 5x is the first model in the X Range from the Ferretti Group brand, and will make its debut during next Cannes Yachting Festival.
It will feature two options for the propulsion: a couple of Volvo Pentas D11, 725 HP each with IPS950 transmissions, or two CAT 12.9 with 1000 HP and surface propellers Top System 75X. In the first case the reckoned top speed is 35 knots, with the cruise at 30. With the more powerful option the top should be 45 and the cruise 41.
The X letter in the name wants to recall the aeronautic code, to evoke high performance and technological evolution. After the 5X, we will see the letter again to dub new models in the range.
The Pershing 5X is the result of the cooperation between Ferretti Group’s Engineering Department, Product Strategy Committee, and architect Fulvio De Simoni. 16.51 meters long and 4.38 meters wide, Pershing 5X confirms the styling identity of last gen Pershings, like the extremely sleek lines for the side windows and the two winglets that connect hull and superstructure to aft.
The cockpit can be separated or connected to the salon through a peculiar system to open and close the glass door: it’s the debut on a Pershing this size. The rest of the main deck sports a dining area, the helm station to starboard and a second lounge forward.
The lower deck is designed around the master suite, which takes the full beam amidships. The shipyard offers a version with VIP cabin to bow and a dinette facing the galley. As an alternative, the dinette can be replaced by a third cabin or by a crew cabin with access from the foredeck.
