2017 preview: Azimut Verve 40 conquers Fort Lauderdale

After the world debut at 2016 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, Azimut Verve 40 is ready to be the first Italian weekender.

Azimut Yachts aims to revolutionize the walkaround segment with the new Azimut 40 Verve, the latest model from the manufacturer, which combines the typical characteristics of traditional American daycruisers, with the elegance and refinement of Italian style. It is therefore not accidental that the first stages for her debut were Newport International Boat Show and 2016 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.

Azimut Verve 40 sporty and sophisticated

The cockpit is designed to offer maximum conviviality: the L shaped sofa can be converted to a C shape by sliding one bench on Harken rails, while the dining table, electrically retractable, turns the whole area into a generous aft sundeck which features wet bar, refrigerator, icemaker, double grill and an optional wine cellar. This space offers the owner and his guests everything they need for relaxing and fun moments. At the bow of Azimut Verve 40, beside a solarium with reclining backrests, there’s facing sofas sporting large storage under the seats. Last but not less important, to aft port a part of the washboard opens outward turning into a convenient side deck, finished in teak and with integrated swim ladder. The helm station of Azimut Verve 40 is characterized by an automotive-inspired dashboard: the instruments are fully digital, there’s not a single analog gauge, or button, or panel. The piloting seats are supportive and comfortable for the best ergonomics and safety even at high speeds. A hatch in the ceiling, integrated into the hardtop, can be opened for ventilation when cruising, while either side of the console there’s spray-proof glasses. And to ensure shade in the entire cockpit, an electric bimini is installed inside the hard top itself.

The interiors of the Azimut Verve 40 are just as innovative. The boatyard has managed to increase the usable space with a center dinette and galley, a separate cabin with generous room and a bathroom. When necessary, the seating area can be converted into an additional bed. Thanks to the extremely large span of their range(10 to 100 m) and an owner CFD software, today Azimut R & D team counts on a database of relations between virtual models and models tested in towing tank that is unmatched in the marine industry. Once determined the shape of the hull, the Verve 40 structures have been sized via FEM (Finite Element Analysis), composite structures, with a team of specialists from the yard along with experienced consultants (even coming from offshore competitions) to manage composite materials. This way maximum resistance in the most stressed points is granted and the boat remains light. The Verve 40 is offered with three Mercury Verado 350 outboards (a total of 1050 HP) for a maximum speed of 44 knots and a cruise of 37; the option list includes joystick control and skyhook system
