The standard 860 model is already a nice rib. But what about a transom finished with real wood? Here’s Scanner Envy 860 Wooden Limited Edition.
The last creation by Donato Montemitro, founder and chairman of Scanner boatyard, doesn’t carry a final name yet. But should it be Scanner Envy 860 Wooden Limited Edition, it surely describes what this new rib delivers. In the first stolen shots from inside the yard, here’s a preview of what promises to be a really peculiar unit.
The charm of Scanner Envy 860 Wooden Limited Edition
Although it’s still under construction, these images leave no doubt: Scanner Envy 860 Wooden Limited Edition shows all its charm thanks to that mahogany transom which will mark a turning point in the design of the most exclusive ribs. Credit goes also to a good starting point, the same Envy 860 Touring that visitors definitely appreciated at Boot Düsseldorf. I wonder if Wooden Limited Edition will also be extended to the rest of the Envy range, which starts with 630 and gets up to 950, with 710 and 760 in the middle.
The new Scanner Envy 860 Wooden Limited Edition carries over the qualities already seen on the 860 Touring: sleek lines and modern design, with a full-open deck layout that underlines its sporty and elegant soul. In order to further increase the charm of the boat, the yard will complement the mahogany finishes with particularly refined cushions and fabrics.
As for the hull, the yard expertise is a guarantee of a comfortable and safe navigation even in chopped water. The engine will be an inboard gasoline Volvo Penta 350 V8 with sterndrive transmission. So an exclusive rib good both as a luxury tender for mega yachts, and as a refined dayboat.
