Canados 969 Coliseum due for delivery in 2018

While model 808, which she shares the concept with, will debut at Cannes Yachting Festival, we’ll have to wait 2018 to see Canados 969 Coliseum in the water.

The hull mold of Canados 969 Coliseum is ready, while the ones for deck and superstructures will be completed in October, as well as the engineering project of the first 969 unit which will be delivered in time for the 2018 season. The new Canados flybridge range will thus count on four models: 81′, 88′, 97′ and 120′.

Canados 969 Coliseum: 30 meters, all about flexibility

The new Canados has been designed to offer several layout solutions, with four or five cabins. In both cases, the master suite, located on the main deck, features a two-level bathroom and enjoys direct access to the bow deck, equipped with two sofas and a central table. This specific layout allows the owner to enjoy authentic privacy when moored to stern at any port. When at anchor, this area is shelved by a bimini standing on four carbon-fiber poles.

The lower deck of Canados 969 Coliseum has two guest cabins and a full beam suite, or four guest cabins (two doubles and two with twin beds). The builder’s prediction is that the four-cab version will be sold mainly for private use, while the five-cab cabinet will be of great interest to owners wishing to put their yacht on the charter market. 969 Coliseum also offers the flexibility to have a 29.50 meter long which can be registered as an under-24m.

The configuration of the aft deck of Canados 969 Coliseum is absolutely unique, thanks to its three-position system. When closed on the stern, the terrace features a classic dining area, while if closed to the bow the table turns into an area for open-air lunch. Then again, when the two 90° curved glass panels are closed on both sides, they allow to move freely from the aft deck to the large inner lounge.
The main salon offers a full sea view thanks to full-height curved glasses, which flood it with natural light. The layout, with twin L-shaped sofas and opening windows on both sides, give the area a sense of natural extension of the exterior spaces.

Continuing on the main deck, a door to starboard opens onto the custom Boffi galley, with direct access to the two crew cabins underneath. To port, the companionway leads to the guest bathroom, to the staircase that leads to the guest cabins or to the raised pilot house. Just ahead a door separates the master suite on the main deck.
The flybridge is proposed with a standard layout that includes an integrated sun pad, a circular lounge, a bar and dinner area. But, it can be customized with any furniture chosen by the owner.
The hull is vacuum-infused while the superstructure will be in Kevlar/Aramat to lower the center of gravity, allowing the Seakeeper gyroscope to perfectly stabilize the yacht. The choice of engines for Canados 969 Coliseum will be left to the owner, who will be able to opt for twin V12 MAN – 1,900 HP coupled with V-Drive, twin Caterpillar C32 Acert – 1,925 HP, or twin MTU 12V 2000 M96L – 1,920 HP, all of the three allowing Coliseum to cruise at over 23 knots and to reach 26. As an option, the yacht may be equipped with a pair of MTU 16V 2000 M96L – 2,600 HP for a cruising speed of over 25 knots and a maximum of 29.
