Austin Parker 48 Sundeck is innovation beyond tradition

First novelty for 2017 from the Italian boatyard, Austin Parker 48 Sundeck has already been sold. We’ll see her in the water at Cannes and Genoa boat shows.

Lobster boats mean timeless tradition, with an indisputable charm. The Italian builder is one of the main players in the segment, and with the new Austin Parker 48 Sundeck confirms all the best aspects they have pursued for many years. In particular, solutions and ideas there were so far exclusive for the top models of the range are now available on the 48-feet size, while at the same time a “sundeck” has been introduced. It is actually a small flybridge without a second helm station, exclusively dedicated to the solarium and complemented by some seats. In this way there’s still space for a sliding roof above the pilothouse on the main deck.

The look is unmistakable and immediately recalls the well-established white-blue livery which Fulvio De Simoni has imagined since the first model launched in 2008. Large side decks facilitate outdoor passage from stern to the bow sunbath area. From the comfortable teak cockpit a staircase leads to the sundeck equipped with sunbeds and sofas.

The ample and panoramic salon allows a full use of space, unencumbered from the swim platform (which houses the dinghy) to the helm station. The latter features a complete set of gauges and electronics, and gives the pilot a full visibility.
The lower deck sports three double cabins and two bathrooms, with the master stateroom amidships offering every comfort. The galley is belowdecks as well, and has countertop and storage for a proper cruise. Treated elm joinery, crystal, leather and fabrics are cured into the smallest details and contribute to the overwhelming feeling of elegance.
