Azimut Benetti Group goes to Cannes Yachting Festival with a substantial range of previews: five models, spacing from Azimut 60 (18 m) to Benetti Fast 125’ Skyler (38 m).
When a shipyard debuts so many new models it means just one thing: they are in pretty good shape. So, look out for Azimut Benetti group range, because most certainly there will be a product close to your taste.
Azimut 60 Fly
The external design and concept of the new 60 Fly (18.01m long and 4.95m wide), which further extends the Azimut Yachts Flybridge collection, is signed by Stefano Righini. It features slender lines and known style elements, such as the trapezoidal bow that joins the wide diamond-shaped glazing and the low gunwale by the salon, to give an unobstructed view of the sea from within. Even the large flybridge offers a great living space. The interiors by renown architect Achille Salvagni evoke the theme of the sporty but elegant journey, practical and sophisticated. The Azimut 60 Fly will be offered in two versions called Riviera and Grand Milano. In both, glossy dark surfaces and essences alternate with walls and ceilings treated with clear essences and large leather partitions. Three cabins and three heads, crew cabin, twin MAN 800 HP engines one for 32 knots of top speed and absolute comfort.
Azimut S7
Coupé and Sportfly versions will be offered of this 21.3 m long and 5.3 m wide boat; power is on three Volvo Penta IPS 1050 for a total of 2,400 HP that should grant a maximum speed of 35 knots and one cruise of 31. The exteriors, designed by Stefano Righini, sport the typical elements of the collection, complemented by an unusual diamond-shaped glazing. The interiors feature four cabins plus the crew and are the result of Francesco Guida‘s work, which, in the first collaboration with the Azimut Yachts brand, has revolutionized the solutions typically used on this type of boat. The adoption of Volvo IPS, beside improving performance and fuel efficiency, provides further benefits in terms of space belowdecks, enabling a living area of 13 meters and a garage.
Azimut Grande 35 Meters
She’s the new flagship of the Grande Collection, the most exclusive line of Azimut Yachts. The interior design, which features five cabins, was entrusted to architect Achille Salvagni, while the exterior was designed once again by Stefano Righini. The profile of the boat is streamlined and characterized by full-height windows both to bow and by the salon. A peculiar idea was adding a further sun deck (nearly 30 square meters) on the third deck, accessible from the stern; all the superstructure and the hardtop are made of carbon fiber. The overall length of Azimut Grande 35 Meters is…35.17 m, for a beam of 7.5 m; power comes from a pair of MTU 16V2000 M93 2 × 2,400 HP for a maximum speed of 25.5 knots and a cruise of 21.
Azimut Grande 27 Metri
Azimut seems to really like carbon fiber and using this material on Azimut Grande 27 Meters “gave the opportunity to expand on-board volumes to new frontiers, without affecting the dynamic stability of the yacht”: a lighter superstructure does not raise the center of gravity of the boat. The result is a 27-meter model with a full beam owner’s suite on the main deck and a three- or four- cabin layout. The exteriors by Stefano Righini propose the distinctive traits of the new collection: a vertical bow (in the top section), and two floor to ceiling side windows that offer a beautiful sea view from the owner’s cabin. The interior is by Achille Salvagni, who created three different “mood” options: Dolce Vita, Gran Milano and Riviera. These are the main figures of Azimut Grande 27 Meters: overall length 26.78 m, beam 6.59 m, 2×MAN V12 1,900 HP engines, top speed 27 knots, cruising speed 24 knots.
Benetti Fast 125’ Skyler
It is made of composite material and carbon fiber at the Viareggio facility: a four-deck bridge 38.1 m long and 8.45 m wide. Outstanding sporty lines are of course Stefano Righini‘s work, while the luxurious interiors, featuring five cabins plus crew quarters, were designed by Redman Whiteley Dixon. The owner requested several customized elements, such as furniture from great design names, including Glyn Peter Machin, Sutherland, Minotti and Meridiani. The Benetti Fast 125′ Skyler is equipped with a pair of MTU 12V 2000 M94 for a total of 2,636 HP coupled with the innovative propulsion system developed by Rolls Royce specifically for the Fast 125′ line, named Azipull Carbon (AZP C65).
