Barracuda looks closely at the world of anglers, Antares to that of leisure boaters: what they have in common is the outboard motor. After Barracuda 6 and Barracuda 7, here is Barracuda 9 and Beneteau Antares 6 and 9. A higher level of finishing wants to renew a consolidated tradition in this segment for the French shipyard.
Beneteau Antares 6 and 9
After 40 years of career, Beneteau Antares 6 confirms all the good points in this new version, which further enhances its versatility. On the stern, the tilting bench allows to fully lift the motor, while inside the space is well exploited, with a dinette to port and the helm station to starboard. The hull features the evolution seen on the latest Beneteau generation and promises to be even more stable and seaworthy even with 115 HP motors, rated as the maximum available power.
Beneteau Antares 9 is equipped with the innovative Airstep hull for a maximum of 2×200 engines, but the real plus is the two independent cabins. All this is completed by the large windows that bring light into the salon and guarantee the driver a 360° visibility. A further, useful touch is the side door opening on the passageway.
Barracuda 9: here’s “sportsfishing”
The new Barracuda 9 wants to combine sportsfishing and full comfort. It maintains the typical professional look of the range, adding finishing touches that make it ideal for cruising too. The latest generation Airstep hull allows a maximum power of 500 HP, of course with two outboards. From the helm station a door leads to the lower deck, while a second one takes on the side passage. Galley to port and a large dinette complete the payout.
