It’s a new entry from Poland, but it belongs to a kind of boats that is conquering more and more boaters. So much so, that even in Italy there’s a dealer specialized in boats such as this Parker 660 Weekend.
Gianni Catto from Sailpassion, Italian boat dealer in the western Liguria, seems to have the mission of taking his customers on a boat the whole year round. So, after Delphia and Arctic, he wanted to offer also Parker boats, sturdy crafts built in Poland. What we see here is one of the most peculiar models: Parker 660 Weekend is an ideal solution for boates who go at sea any time of the year, regardless of the weather.
Parker 660 Weekend: small but all-weather
The name identifies the length of 6.60 m, for a beam of 2.50 m and a displacement without engine of 1.500 Kg. The maximum power allowed is 150 Hp, outboard for a CE design category B (6 people or C (7 people). A fuel reserve for 140 liters of gasoline and a tank of 40 liters for fresh water compete the basic specs of Parker 660 Weekend.
In the aft cockpit two side and an aft bench make up an outdoor dinette. But as soon as the weather turns bad, there’s another four cozy seats inside, well protected by the massive superstructure, perhaps not sleek from the outside, but ample and bright from inside. Beside a compact galley with a single hob, sink and fridge, there is the mentioned dinette transformable into a double berth. To bow the Parker 660 Weekend features a separate toilet and the proper double cabin: with some spirit of adaptation you can even go for a mini-cruise.
An external pilot station is optional and will be certainly appreciated by anglers, who also have a large number of lockers for all their gear. Parker 660 Weekend’s foredeck, on the other hand, doesn’t offer a properly sized sun bed, as you can expect on a 6.60 m boat.
