Four years after the introduction of the Flyer range, the same habitability and comfort, along with the stepped hull, characterize the new Beneteau Flyer 8. Available in two versions.
It was 2014, and Beneteau launched a well thought range of outboard boats named Flyer. A practical design, good comfort, and improved stability thanks to the Air Step2 hull, were the main features of what proved to be a success on the market. Now it’s time for Flyer 8, latest model in the lineup, available in two different deck plans and interiors: the Spacedeck with central console, and the Sundeck with a double cabin under the foredeck.
The two are the fruit of a cooperation between Beneteau Power and the Style&Design office, and they focus on good space and elegant simplicity. The black pulpits confer the new model with a bold profile, while the modular aft bench seat can easily fold back to maximize the cockpit versatility.
Despite the single engine (which anyway helps in terms of space, affordability and weight reduction), the available choice of a Suzuki 350 hp unit allows a top speed of 43 knots. Last but not least, Beneteau Flyer 8 offers a selection two different shades of upholstery to match the owner’s taste.
Let’s see the two versions in detail.
Beneteau Flyer 8 Spacedeck
The Flyer 8 Spacedeck aims at versatility and day-boating activities such as swimming, fishing or exploring with the family, thanks to the center console and the open deck. The optional in-built fishing station replaces the bench seat with a counter, live bait well, rod holder and more. A fishing T-top completes the fittings, offering effective shelter from the sun and the rain.
Beneteau Flyer 8 Sundeck
Ideal for a weekend with friends or partner, Flyer 8 Sundeck has a large solarium to bow, with port and starboard walkways redesigned to make it easier to reach. These large passageways on either side of the driver station make movement on board much safer. The interiors sport a remarkable headroom, a cabin fitted with a double berth, an independent head, and a galley station.
Both Spacedeck and Sundeck versions have a certified capacity of 10 people and can be towed on a trailer. The launch will happen at Cannes Yachting Festival from 11 to 16 September.
