Agile and fast, the new open-bow from Brunswick is made for sports. But there’s much more with the Quicksilver Activ 555 Bowrider.
It’s just 5 meters long, but the transom can mount a 115hp Mercury outboard. So, performance is surely one of the key points of Quicksilver Activ 555 Bowrider. It’s a boat made for enjoying watersports, thanks to the ski tow arch, the open cockpit and the stowage space. But it wants to be a good cruiser too, as its many features show.
Transformer
First of all, the typical versatility of the bow area: settees to enjoy navigation from the privileged fore area, which turn into a sun lounge at anchor. Then, the attention to safety: Activ 555 has a deep cockpit area, high freeboards, bow rails and a motor well step.
The cockpit can be turned into a socializing area for chatting or dining with friends, complimented by twin bolster seats with swivel and the optional teak table. It can also be turned into a second sun lounge thanks to a flip-up mechanism on the backbench.
To increase versatility, there’s also a sprayhood with complete canvas that creates an enclosed area and provides protection from the rain, so there’s no excuses not to cruise.

And, cruising will be longer, as according to Brunswick the new Quicksilver Activ 555 Bowrider features the largest fuel tank of its class, with a capacity of 110 liters.
The technical side is completed with power steering and the chance to mount single Mercury engines (another brand of the same Brunswick Group) in a power range from 80 to 115 hp.

Activ 555 Bowrider is available in the so called Smart Edition which offers som extra options included in the standard equipment: bow sun lounge, cockpit sun lounge, cockpit table with laminated top, and bimini. The boatyard says that the price saving is 10% compared to picking the options individually. As for the Electronic Pack, it offers the 7” Simrad NSS evo3 GPS/Chart Plotter and a Fusion Stereo.
