The builder is Seacreatures Boat Manufacturing of Miami, but the project come from the Italian atelier H3O Yacht Design. Here’s the new Kraken 36 to discover.
There is nothing really unseen, yet it definitely is an original model. At least judging by the first renderings. We are talking of Kraken 36, the first model of the new American brand Seacreatures Boat Manufacturing in Miami, Florida. A 12-meter walkaround with tilting sides, T-Top and open bow.
Italian versatility, American power
Entirely designed and developed by the Milan-based studio H3O Yacht Design, Kraken 36 aims at being a versatile boat. And it does so thanks to the deck layout, with center console and walkaround bridge, a small deckhouse that leaves priority to open spaces, both in the aft cockpit and in the open bow.
At a glance, the first and important peculiarity of the model is the tilting bulwarks, which turns a standard express cruiser into a much larger and livable boat when at anchor. A solution made to enjoy maximum open-air relaxation, already seen in different declinations on Wider 42, Evo Yachts 42, on Brazilian Okeans and on the very recent Solaris Power by Norberto Ferretti. Even the new Wallytender 48.
On Kraken 36 a few seconds are enough to almost double the cockpit area, specifically from 11.5 to 17.5 square meters. There you have a huge platform just above the water level, perfect both as a private beach and for fishing activities.

The hull designed by H3O is rather aggressive, with a marked stem, sharp edges along the keel and 20.5° deadrise. But there’s more, as Kraken 36 also features a redan, which creates an air cushion between the hull and the water thus reducing the drag.
To further underline the vocation for high performance there a contribution from the powertrain: three Mercury outboards up to 450 hp, which take the total output to a potential 1350 ponies.
Back to livability, the renderings show another rather peculiar feature, i.e. the shape of the platforms around the engines. H3O has found a solution to connect them, aft of the engines, creating a larger surface that can be used as a swimming platform.
The wheelhouse of Kraken 36 is served by a large three-seater couchand well protected by a tall windscreen that joins the T-Top without interruption.
Below deck (even if there’s no renderings so far) guests should have a double cabin amidships, with two-meter headroom, a dinette, a separate heads and a second double berth located in the V-shaped bow.
All the Made in Italy touch does not end in the design phase: Kraken 36 is in fact under construction in Italy, in order to be ready for the debut planned for the Miami Boat Show in February 2020.
