It will be the largest model ever built by the Italian shipyard, at around 30 meters. Ferretti Yachts 1000 will be all about comfort and well-being.
The new vessel is the result of a partnership between Ferretti Group’s product strategy committee and engineering department, with exterior design work by architect Filippo Salvetti and a new interior design concept by Ideaeitalia. The first thing that catches the looking at the rendering is the wide-body architecture.
Innovations, as usual
The look is sporty, still teak covers most of the surfaces. Under the skin there’s a big news though: the whole superstructure, including hard top, will be built in carbon fiber, to save weight.
The interior sticks to Ferretti Yachts DNA. The indoor spaces are highly versatile thanks to a modular layout, faithful to the brand’s payout “just like home”. Natural light enters through the floor-to-ceiling windows, while free-standing furniture adds lightness.
Consequence of the partnership with Ideaitalia, is a choice between two different interior moods: classic, with soft, traditional tones and smooth contrasts, and contemporary, with bold colors and more urban and modern influences. The shipyard states that the latter “underlines the widespread international impact on Italian style”. Meanwhile we have some renderings to get an idea: check the gallery on top of the page.
The stern of Ferretti Yachts 1000 features 40 sqm of living space with direct links between the swimming platform and the cockpit. An innovative concept makes it easy to climb up when the swimming platform is under water: three steps on each side open up as the platform lowers, extending the cockpit stairs. Ferretti Group has patented the design, which was entirely developed by the Engineering Department.
As for the garage, it can accommodate a Williams Sportjet 445 tender, a personal watercraft and even two Seabobs.
Another difference ith the standard is in the access from the cockpit to the flybridge, as it is provided by two stairways and from there it is possible to reach the forward area, where complete privacy is guaranteed. At the same time, both of the side walkways on the main deck lead inside. From there, it is easy to get to the raised helm station and back to the flybridge and the forward area. Consequently, owners, their guests and the crew can all comfortably move around separately.
On request, the large floor-to-ceiling glazed windows of the salon can be made to open up on both sides. Along with the glass door at the entrance, they help to break down the visual barriers dividing the inside and outside.
An electric wall opening system, reveals a bar on the galley’s side and joins it together with the dining area. A laundry and storage area next to the galley provides access to the crew area, which sleeps five people in a captain’s cabin, and two twin cabins.
With the standard layout, Ferretti Yachts 1000 has five guest cabins: an owner’s suite on the main deck and four large double cabins, all the same size and sporting a large en-suite, on the lower deck.
With twin MTU 16V 2000 engines delivering 2638 hp (optional), the yacht is said to reach a top speed of 28 knots and a cruising speed of 24 knots. On request, she can be equipped with a gyroscopic stabilization system and stabilizing fins to keep her comfortable both at anchor and out on the waves.
