The ranking, compiled by the renowned American magazine ShowBoats International, puts once again the Italian group Azimut-Benetti in the first place for building high-end yachts.
For another year, Azimut-Benetti Group is leader in the Global Order Book by ShowBoats International, the annual ranking of the first 20 megayacht builders in the world.
2015 marks another success for the vessels built by the two brands of the Italian group, for a total of 66 new projects and a lead of 18 units on the runner up. By comparing these numbers with last year’s ones, there’s an increase in the average length, now at 127 ft to highlight a market trend.
The target has been achieved with an effortless work of developing and improving the construction process, for the high financial reliability of the shipyard, and for the commitment towards smooth and clear pre-contractual agreements. Add to this the compliance to deadlines, and the high quality of the projects: all of these factors concur to achieve such a prestigious and hard-to-get target.
The picture coming from 2015 Global Order Book marks a solid leadership of Italy as first world producer of megayachts, followed by The Nederlands: this is a positive message not just for the Company, but for all the boating industry in Italy.
The Global Order Book ranking and the relative report are a benchmark for the whole sector, in terms of dependability and authority. Each year, it’s a precise report of the business trend, which include all the orders confirmed within the first of September (of the previous year), comprehending only units above 80 feet in length. As an example, the new over-100-mt superyacht that is already under construction at Benetti is not included, as the contract has been signed over the fixed deadline.
