We attended the 2015 Dusseldorf Boat Show, where Azimut introduced the new Atlantis 43. Bold and sporty outside, cool and refined inside: it’s an excellent ambassador for Italian design.
Azimut Atlantis 43 encloses all the excellence of Made in Italy in one boat: more so, as her interiors can be finished with fabrics by Missoni and Loro Piana Interiors. She demonstrated how the Italian boatyard can keep on renewing the range without losing their family feeling and style. Once again the Azimut experience has allowed to debut an open with captivating look, smart ideas and great usability.
The deck is the main area of the boat: two large solariums, to bow and to aft, devided by an hard-top superstructure, as a comfy shelter from wind and sun. The pillarless windshield and the side windows offer the guests a bright space, where direct light can be kept out by sliding the soft, electric roof.
The outdoor living features a dining table with C couch and galley area, while beide the helm station a double, front faced seat turns easily in a comfortable mess where to enjoy the cruise. The 3.5 square meter swim platform is accessible from both sides and can be used for launching and hauling a dinghy or a water toy before recovering it in the aft garage below the sun bed.
The same engineering standards can be found belowdecks: the bow master cabin boasts full headroom and loads of light from the manhole above the bed and the wide portholes on both sides. It has its own en-suite with shower box and plenty of space for storage in two closets and in the locker underneath the bed. Light and space can be found also in the guest cabin abaft, whose main feature is the sliding bed to have twin or double accommodation, while there’s even the chance to add a third bed to port to host another guest.
The living area amidships is the core of the lower deck, thanks to a large and complete galley, and a cozy dinette whose table can be lowered to obtain another berth. The second heads serves the guest cabin and work sas day-toilet as well, thanks to the door on the passageway. (look our gallery on the top)
The new Azimut Atlantis 43 is powered by two Volvo Penta D6 with sterndrives, 400HP each for a top speed around 33 knots.
