The smallest model from the Polish yard Delphia is the Escape 800s, semi-displacement boat for comfortable cruising with a small investment.
Here’s the Delphia Escape 800s: two cabins, another two berths from the dinette for a total of six night guests, large windows, heads with shower box. All of this in just 8 meters and around 40,000 Euros (plus taxes). What else could you want?
One could object that the superstructure is a bit too tall, but once aboard you will appreciate the large spaces that allow for a relaxing family cruise as in a much larger yacht, that on the other hand would imply higher consumption and maintenance costs.
Belowdecks the layout doesn’t stand out for any peculiar solution, but instead for the great way the space is used. You will find two proper cabins, one to fore and one to aft, leaving enough room for an ample dinette amidships which turns into another double bed. On the port side of the mess there’s a galley cabinet with all the necessary equipment, while the large windows on both sides let loads of sunlight to enter. Last but not least, the bathroom features a separate shower box for even more privacy.
The indoor room didn’t hinder at all outside spaces: a solarium on the foredeck, the pilothouse sheltered under a large top whose overhang protects the cockpit to create another proper living area. What is almost necessary in the northern seas, becomes an advantage point in the Med as well, when you want to use the boat allover the year, maybe in lieu of a seaside home. The reduced draught allows to moor and maneuver in shallow waters, while the propulsion is on a 50HP inboard or a 115HP outboard.
Delphia boatyard was founded in 1990 by the two brothers Piotr and Wojciech Kot, from the small Polish city of Olecko, located on a lake in the Mazuri area. Nowadays the yard builds successful models up to 47 feet, power and sail. The motor range is completed by the larger 1050, 1080, 1100 and 1350 models, where the name is the actual length in millimeters.
