Azimut Yachts changes strategy, distribution in the Far East

After Indonesia and Thailand Azimut Yachts decided to change the sales policy for Hong Kong, Singapore and China. The long cooperation with Simpson Marine comes to an end.

Azimut Yachts, brand of  Azimut Benetti Group, has announced the end of the ten-year-long partnership with Simpson Marine for Hong Kong, Singapore and China. The decision follows what had already happened for Indonesia and Thailand two years ago: Simpson Marine has been replaced with the aim to oversee such markets through an exclusive distribution and not via a multi-brand dealer. Choosing the right channel for each market has already granted good results in these years, so the choice has been expanded to another three Countries.

Direct stronghold on the markets, excellent local professionals, customer service coming straight from the Group, exclusivity of the brand: this is the strategy in a nutshell. So, Azimut Yachts announced the creation of Azimut Yachts Hong Kong, in partnership withThomas Woo, top salesman on the territory for Azimut Grande in the last years. Beside him, a Service Manager with a ten-year expertise in the after sales department with Azimut Yachts.

Soon to follow, Azimut Yachts Shanghai and Azimut Yachts Singapore.

“In the last 20 years Azimut Yachts has gained the market leadership in the area, thanks to the prestige of the brand, the Italian style, the technology of the products” – stated Marco Valle, sales manager of Azimut Yachts. “The Company aims to reinforce their heritage, cooperating with the best sales people who have been raised in our brand environment during the last years. We couldn’t afford to entrust our sales for such a large territory to a sole distributor who wanted to stay committed to other brands, even brands whose values are not aligned to ours”.
