With Rancraft RS 17 the Italian boatyard debuts the “Smart” range, a new product line that allows to customize small boats as if they were cars.
The “Smart” range marks the beginning of a new marketing strategy within Rancraft. The idea is to offer a made-to-measure sport boat, in terms of color, accessories, trim, at an affordable price.
First is Rancraft RS 17
First model for this new era is RS 17, with RS to stand for Rancraft Smart. Style, technology, construction care and customization. The boat features already many standard accessories, but it’s possible to customize it in many ways.
One of the interesting points with this model is the way space is exploited: the innovative “duck-billed” bow can host electric winch, pop up cleats and a very handy swim ladder. The rubbing strake features some shiny, S/S recesses for navigation lights, while the LED courtesy lights by the deck floor can be integrated with further ones on the sides, above the waterline.
Rancraft RS 17 is talented also on the performance side: first, the patented IHC (Innovating Hull Concept), modified here by introducing a double redan with batwing shape. The transversal steps reduce the water drag, ease reaching the plane and help keeping it at low speed. Advantages that mean higher performance with reduced power installed, better comfort, and lower consumption.
