It will be just the first of a full range of rigid inflatables, designed and built under the same brand which is already well known in Italy and abroad for the reliability of their products.

It’s a performing rib, built with the best quality coming from a boatyard whose experience is 30-year long and allowed them to wade an unprecedented crisis with no big trouble.

Here’s an example of the building technology in Salpa, with the robotized milling machine Salpa

Gran Soleil 23 comes from a brand new project by a dedicated team. It’s 7.15 meters long and features peculiar layout solutions for the segment: it’s really uncommon to find a kitchenette on a boat of this size, while Grand Soleil features a complete one: stove, sink and refrigerator.

Large steps make easier to reach the two swim platforms, with the port one enjoying an open passage thanks to the absence of the corner section of the seatback.
Another smart solution can be found to bow, with the sun bed sporting a hinged, book-like panel, so to connect the bed itself to the front-facing bench without adding further panels: a quick movement is enough.

The dashboard is massive and has enough space to house all the necessary electronics, testifying an open eye on ergonomics and safety.
As for performance we have to wait until Genoa Boat Show, where Salpa Grand Soleil will be officially launched and could be tested in the water. We will be there of course and will provide our readers with a prompt feedback and readings. Meanwhile, we can anticipate that the power range will span from 130 to 200 HP, for a single engine (with 150 being the recommended choice).

The designers had in mind the priority of maximizing comfort and economy in the cruising-range speeds, i.e. between 25 and 30 knots. The single-stepped hull has an average keel angle of 28°.

So save the date for Genova, Italy, 20 to 25 September. It’s the time to see and test this Salpa Grand Soleil 23. In case you want to book an appointment , here’s their website, while the contact email is info@salpa.com.
