Marina di Varazze, owned by Azimut-Benetti Group, started their activity in 2007. During these 10 years the port has become a model among marinas.
It’s not only about the infrastructures for boaters, but also the ones for leisure and entertainment, based on the example of the French marinas which strongly connect with the surrounding territory. This, in a nutshell, it the first 10 years of Marina di Varazze. Success is confirmed by the numbers: in the last two years, permanent contracts marked a 15% growth, and in 2016 the port counted 1,320 transit days.
Marina di Varazze: a pearl in the Med
2017 is an important milestone for Marina di Varazze, because the port, propriety of Azimut-Benetti Group turns ten, but also because they can count already on many awards thanks to the quality of their service. Bandiera Blu (Blue Flag) since 2008, “Five Stars” certification bestowed by International Marine Certification Institute, Best Marina Development Italy 2008, Best Luxury Marina Development Italy 2010.
Born by the enlargement of the historic harbor of Marina di Varazze, the structure has become in a short time a model, appreciated around the Mediterranean, mainly due to its format which combines services and infrastructure for navigation to an exclusive offer for those who want to experience the territory.
“Marina di Varazze is not a transit point, but a tourist place to live, thanks to the presence of luxury condos, a wide range of shops, restaurants, cafes and services for leisure and more – says Giovanna Vitelli, Vice President of the Azimut-Benetti Group. “All enriched by a calendar of events regarding cultural, food and wine, sports, all along the year, with the goal of extending the seasonality of the marina and also strengthen the bond with the surrounding area. Marina di Varazze allows boaters to find, as in a real club, a bespoke offer of services and entertainment, complementary to life on board”.
In order to constantly improve their range of services, from July 2016 Marina di Varazze has partnered with Alfa Shipyard, a company whose core business is refitting and restoring yachts and classical boats up to 25 meters in length. The agreement has completed the services provided by Alfa Servizi Nautici, another refitting company which provides the same high-end service on larger yachts, in the former Baglietto area inside the Varazze harbor.
