When they entered they flybridge realm, Bavaria did it with caution, keeping in mind that their models were well known for the value for money. This meant they couldn’t miss on one of the key points for the Boatyard.
But the introduction of Bavaria R55 Fly show that the German builder is going up to more important size and features. Now, we have to wait for the boat to be in the water and not just on a computer screen.
Bavaria R55 Fly: so far, the largest Bavaria Yachts
Although Bavaria Yachts have released just some renderings of this Bavaria R55,32ewszx of the new flagship are already clear. Considering that some models like the recent Bavaria R40 were launched both in the flybridge and the hart-top versions, it’s legitimate to expect the same two variations on the new R55. So far though it’s the flybridge one to be shown.
The interior design is by J&J Design, already in charge of the Bavaria R40. With an overall length of 17.69 (LH 16.21) and a beam of 4.66, she will be powered by to Volvo Penta IPS in two available versions delivering 2×600 HP (IPS800) or 2×723 (IPS950). A displacement of 19.50 tons will allow for a top speed between 30 and 34 knots, depending on the engines. The (maximum) 12 passengers will be hosted in three cabins with en-suite, with the master suite located amidships and taking the full beam. A further cabin for the crew is located to aft.
