Vintage charm and offshore performance: this is Levi Corsair

Signed by master designer Sonny Levi, it features an obsessive care for construction. Levi Corsair is a small jewel, far from fads and rich in charm. The legend of the first Corsair is back.

Looking at this brand new “replica” of Levi Corsair, some historical projects of Renato Sonny Levi come to mind: from the legendary “Speranzella” to dozens of boats that literally revolutionized the history of motor yachts. This time all modern technologies are used in construction, without ever failing to refer to the original design.

A unique boat

The lines are unequivocally those of the most beautiful boats by Sonny Levi (the project of the original “Corsair” is from the Sixties) taken to actual times with careful craft and great attention to every detail. Still, don’t forget that Levi Corsair is a boat born for offshore racing, so a narrow beam limits livability: only two berths in the bow and a third one by transforming the starboard dinette. The kitchenette to port and a heads complete the features of the lower deck.

On the other hand, there’s a trade-mark deep V hull and a wide choice of Mercury engines,  petrol or diesel, all with Mercury Bravo III sterndrive: the top configuration, with a total power of 700 HP, takes the Corsair to a top speed of 50 knots. We’re talking offshore…

Even on deck the yesteryear’s look is respected, starting from the support of the spotlights and the antennas, to end up in the layout of the cockpit that winks to cruising thanks to an L-shaped sofa. So far, no mention to any sun pad, though.
The Levi Corsair comes not cheap, but you’re not choosing it because it’s affordable.
