Numarine’s 26XP debuts at Boat Show Eurasia in Istanbul. Four units have already been sold

The first unit is a semi-displacement version, but Numarine 26XP is also available with a displacement hull and bulbous bow. Four units have been sold and will be delivered in 2018

A constant growth for the Instanbul-based shipyard Numarine is highlighted by the debut of the explorer yacht 26XP, available in semi- or full-displacement hull. The official launch is happening right in home waters, at the Boat Show Eurasia from February 17-25 in Tuzla, close to the Turkish main city. The 26-meter expedition vessel was sold to a returning customer, also from Turkey, at his fourth yacht with the Yard.

The little sister

Numarine’s long-term collaborator Can Yalman designed the 26XP’s exterior and interior. She definitely looks contemporary, due to angular windows and a vertical bow, and carries the DNA of her larger sister 32XP.

Although the boat is designed to offer the same capabilities, the 26XP’s smaller draft allows her to berth in shallower harbors. Naval architecture is by Umberto Tagliavini, who designed an efficient hull, especially made for ocean cruising. The first 26XP unit was built in the very efficient, semi-displacement version, which will achieve a maximum speed of 22 knots and a cruising of 18.

Numarine 26XP interior is spacious and refined: there are four large guest cabins belowdecks, including the master suite amidships and two VIP cabins. Social areas include an extensive main saloon, beach platform and a special flybridge with its own lounge, dining table and storage space for a 5-meter tender. To ensure the maximum level of comfort on board the 26XP, Numarine took great care in eliminating or reducing all sources of noise and vibration, especially thanks to a long-time partnership with Silent Line, NVH experts for luxury yachts, commercial vessels, and industrial and architectural projects.

As for the full-displacement version, she will have a maximum speed of 11.5 knots, with a cruising speed of 9 knots, and a range up to 3,500 nm at 8 knots. And it’s peculiar to read that except the first unit, the following three will be the slow ones. They will be delivered to customers from Europe, Russia and the Middle East, all to be launched by the end of 2018.
