2016 preview: the new Beneteau Flyer 8.8 SunDeck debuts in December

Beneteau Flyer 8.8 SunDeck is the first of three siblings and features a cuddy cabin. The SpaceDeck version will be fully open, while the SportDeck will have seats in the fore cockpit like a bowrider.
For the fourth consecutive year Beneteau introduces a new model in the Flyer range at the beginning of the nautical season. In this case the stage will be Salon Nautique de Paris in December 2015. Among the models available, the Flyer 8.8 SunDeck is the only one to have a proper cabin with four berths: the V dinette becomes a double bed while underneath the cockpit there’s another double bed occupying the full beam. On the two sides of the companionway there’s space for a kitchenette to port and a heads to starboard.
The cockpit leaves space to two passageways, and as customary on the boats from Beneteau group the port one is wider in order to leave more space for the cabin. The fore sunpad is split into two parts by the manhole (actually a rectangular window) that serves the dinette, and each part has its headrest.
The back part, identical on the three versions, sports a transversal bench and loads of free space, giving a hint to use the boat also for fishing, also given the chance to add a rod holder on the gunwale.
The SpaceDeck variant features a couch along the fore bulwarks and another seat, front-facing, before the helm station. Underneath the latter, a small cabin is good for storing gear and hosting the optional potty.
The Flyer 8.8 boasts the Air Step hull, while the propulsion is on two outboards for a maximum joint power of 500 HP.
