We anticipated it last November (read our article here) and there we are: the new Scanner Envy 950 Touring has just touched the water at Palma de Mallorca Boat Show.
Scanner Envy 950 Touring is a 9.5-meter-long RIB that targets a segment of customers looking for some class and style. It’s not “just” a rib, but also a good means to show the owner’s personality with a peculiar design and look.
For this very reason, Scanner boatyard put among the priorities of this project the chance to customize trim and colors.
For the first unit, the Company’s own design studio Montemitro went for a balance of colors – and contrasts – based on beige and black, for a result that surely speaks for itself. Like it or not, it definitely can fit the words “casual chic”.
Add to this the pure open layout of the deck, and the Scanner Envy 950 Touring can be appealing also as a luxury tender for superyachts.
Envy 950 Touring can carry up to 20 passengers, which is actually more of a tender, but for daily cruises the deck layout can be comfortable for as many guests and friends.
To aft the solarium is completed with a C-shaped couch and a wet bar with refrigerator, sink and a working surface. The proper dinette anyway is in front, along the perimeter of the bow. Of course this area can be turned into another, large sun bed.
The massive and in some way spectacular center console hides a storage room beneath, which can be completed with a potty and is always handy for getting changed. What about the performance? We still don’t know, but we will test the Envy soon. Meanwhile, we can say that this rib can mount two engines for a maximum power of 600HP, with the choice between sterndrives and outboards.
