At the beginning of 2014 Sanlorenzo and the Chinese group Sundiro Holding have created Sundiro Yacht brand, bestowing to Christian Grande design, style and decor of all the boats that will range between 40 and 70 feet.
The official debut of SY70, first model in the Sundiro Yacht lineup, was in Hong Kong in May 2015. This model, fully developed in Italy but specifically conceived for the Chinese market, will be available in different layout and décor solutions, so to meet the taste of traditional customers or those who are more fond of western design.
Christian Grande has designed Sundiro SY70 taking into great consideration the whole styling and the small details. The space arrangement is close to the Asian habits: open spaces, convivial areas, a full beam entertainment room, a large galley and a dinette belowdecks. The main deck and flybridge, both featuring a helm station, also leave much room to hospitality and sharing moments with friends. The former boasts a salon with table for eight, pop-up TV screen, and a separate lounge with two couches. The latter copies the same layout with two fully transformable seating areas.
The exterior style is linear, with some traits that recall the parent Sanlorenzo brand, still showing a personal identity. Large, uninterrupted windows merge the superstructure with the outside, while on the lower deck small portholes respect the privacy of guests.
Indoors the style is modern yet elegant. Christian Grande decided to go for a neat and minimal look, enhanced with sophisticated materials. The basic joinery is in light grey wood, matched to lacquered white ceilings, while some contrasting dark elements (bronze with a peculiar metallic matt finish, and nickel metal with brown gloss) underline the main geometries. The result is a very refined environment, improved by the wise distribution of shades and exterior light.
